Patterson Wedding
A Roof Top Wedding
Nick and Ravens wedding was one full of beauty! I couldn’t get over how gorgeous and unique the venue was on top of the Kress Terrace building! Along with the beautiful set up you could see the wonderful city of Greensboro acting as the back drop.
They tied the knot on December 16th 2018 on what turned out to be a VERY beautiful day. A major snow storm had occurred several days before the wedding leaving the bride and groom a little nervous about how the weather was going to be the day of; but the good Lord came through and made everything about that day perfect including the weather!
Nick and Raven both went to Winston-Salem State University where they met and started their journey together! I had the honor to adventure with these two love birds November 11th 2017 to the top of a mountain where my husband and I got to capture the moment she said yes; and one year and 1 month later I got to capture them saying I do!
It was a buzz in the O’henry Hotel room where the gorgeous bride and her bridesmaids were getting ready for the big day. All of the girls had on beautiful silk robes with their names embroidered on it which I thought was so classy!
The details in the brides bouquet looked like it was picked from a whimsical winter forest! Everything was exquisite!
The first look was just heart warming! I loved that the groom was turned around until the bride got closer so that he could get a good, close look at his breath taking bride. The tears in his eyes said it all!
The giving over of the bride moment is such an emotional moment to me. Father and daughter bonds are so special!
Such a fun bridal party…..there was never a dull moment!
The bride and groom were able to steal away to be together, just the two of them, for the first time as husband and wife and what a sweet moment that was! I would suggest that every bride and groom try to get away from all of the hustle and bustle to have a quiet moment together. That moment will be one that will stand out from the rest and you will cherish it for a life time.
The bride and bridesmaids were just gorgeous! Raven’s dress was absolutely perfect and made her look SO stunning! I was in love with the bridesmaids dresses, it was the perfect color for a winter wedding!
The guys were just living it up having a good time with Nick, ready to stand next to their best buddy to support him on his big day!
Nick’s Dad was his best man which I thought was so awesome! It’s not every day that you see a parent act as a groomsman or bridesmaid. Capturing a shot like the one above of the grooms father embracing his son in tears while his bride makes her way down the isle is priceless!
Getting married to Raven was one of the best things Nick has ever done so of course he had to pound it with one of his buddies! :D
There were a couple of moments where I couldn’t stop laughing because Nick and his goofy self was at it again. I instructed the newlyweds to lean into each other, close their eyes and just breath each other in; and I find Nick with his mouth gaping open like a fish “breathing” her in but through his mouth not through his nose………Yeeeeaaahh that wasn’t what I was going for! Haha XD
After all the fun wedding festivities, the first dance, cutting the cake, tossing the bouquet/garter and having fun partying it up, Nick and Raven ended the night running through a tunnel of glow sticks surrounded by all of their friends and family. I am so happy for these sweet friends of mine and I am so excited to see what life has to bring them on their journey together!
